In this, the second of a three-part series, Sophia Henry, Willis McFarlane and Cassandra Austin describe what it has been like for them since the security operations in West Kingston last year. Jamaica Constabulary Force policemen and Jamaica Defence Force soldiers entered Tivoli Gardens on May 24, 2010 in search of Christopher ’Dudus’ Coke, who was wanted in the United States to answer to gun and drug trafficking charges. Aside from the infrastructural damage and trauma experienced by residents, over 70 people were killed during the security operations. However, others say many more were killed. These are the stories of Sophia, Willis and Cassandra.
